Lagos Motor

Founded on 23rd january,it is a member only boat club which was formed by a group of people breaking away from Lagos Tarpon Club founded in 1938.A new club house was erected and officially opened in 1960s.

The Tarpon Club was basically established for fishermen. Metallum and Alluminium City donates for years.The Tarpon Club demobilize and became the fishing section on the Lagos Motor Boat Club and a regular sponsored tournament are held during the fishing session.The fishermen sails 20-30 miles offshore to catch Marlin,Barracuda,Dorado,Mackerel Tuna,Sail Fish,Tarpon and Jack.

Greater hospitality and regular events such as International Nights became part of the Lagos.Many organizations such as Lagos Diner’s club and Nigeria Britain Association hosts diners and luncheons at the club.
